Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, a legal opinion, or other professional advice, and the information should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice concerning a particular situation.

Use of the Resource Center does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, advisory, employment, agency, or other professional relationship between you and the National Bar Association, its officers, employees, members, volunteers, committees, affiliates, partners, or contributors.

Election Information

Election laws, voting procedures, registration and identification requirements, deadlines, polling locations, eligibility requirements, and other election-related information vary by jurisdiction and may change.

The National Bar Association seeks to provide and direct users to reliable information but does not warrant that all information available through the Resource Center is complete, current, or applicable to every jurisdiction or individual circumstance.

Nonpartisan Purpose

The National Bar Association Election Protection Initiative is nonpartisan.

The Initiative and Resource Center are intended to support voter education, civic participation, voting rights, and Election Protection. Nothing on this website should be interpreted as an endorsement of or opposition to any political party, candidate for public office, campaign, or partisan political organization.

The views, statements, materials, or activities of third parties referenced through the Resource Center do not necessarily represent the views or positions of the National Bar Association.

Third-Party Websites and Resources

The Resource Center may contain links or references to websites, registration platforms, publications, materials, tools, services, or other content operated or provided by third parties.

Unless expressly identified as an official National Bar Association program, activity, resource, or partnership, the inclusion of or link to third-party content does not constitute endorsement, sponsorship, recommendation, approval, or affiliation by the National Bar Association.

The National Bar Association does not control third-party websites or resources and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, accessibility, security, privacy practices, terms, policies, representations, acts, or omissions.

Users who access third-party websites or resources are responsible for reviewing and complying with the applicable third party’s terms, policies, and requirements.

Events, Trainings and Volunteer Opportunities

The Resource Center may provide information about events, trainings, volunteer opportunities, programs, or activities conducted or supported by the National Bar Association, its partners, or other third parties.

Unless an activity is expressly identified as NBA-sponsored, NBA-hosted, or part of an official NBA partnership, the National Bar Association does not organize, supervise, direct, or control the activity or assume responsibility for the acts or omissions of its organizers, participants, volunteers, speakers, venues, or other third parties.

Participation in any event, training, volunteer opportunity, program, or activity is voluntary. Participants are responsible for reviewing applicable eligibility requirements, qualifications, training requirements, professional obligations, safety considerations, waivers, policies, and other terms before participating.

Official NBA Partnerships

The Resource Center may identify certain organizations as official partners of the National Bar Association Election Protection Initiative.

Identification of an organization as an Initiative partner reflects the specific relationship or activity described by the NBA. It does not constitute adoption or endorsement by the NBA of every position, statement, publication, program, activity, or service of that organization.

Participation in a partner-supported activity does not create an employment, agency, attorney-client, or other professional relationship with the National Bar Association unless expressly stated otherwise.

Volunteer and Legal Activities

Certain Election Protection opportunities may involve attorneys, law students, or other volunteers.

Participants are responsible for determining their eligibility to participate and satisfying any registration, licensing, training, supervision, confidentiality, professional-responsibility, or other requirements applicable to the particular opportunity.

Information provided through the Resource Center does not authorize any person to practice law, undertake a particular legal representation, or establish an attorney-client relationship.

Participants should follow the training, supervision, instructions, and protocols established for the specific program in which they participate.

NBA Subpart Programs and Resource Center Tools

The Resource Center includes planning guides, templates, checklists, sample communications, and other tools designed to assist NBA Affiliates and other authorized NBA entities with Election Protection activities.

These resources provide general guidance. Each NBA entity remains responsible for appropriately planning and conducting its activities and for complying with applicable law, NBA policies and approval requirements, venue requirements, accessibility obligations, professional responsibilities, and nonpartisanship requirements.

Use of an NBA template, checklist, guide, or other Resource Center tool does not constitute legal approval of a particular event or activity.

Where NBA program approval or another authorization is required, the applicable approval process must be completed separately.

Photos, Video and Submitted Materials

The Resource Center may provide opportunities for NBA members or entities to submit information, photographs, video, stories, or other materials relating to Election Protection activities.

Persons submitting materials are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate authority to submit them and that submission and proposed use of the materials do not violate applicable rights, restrictions, or obligations.

Any additional permissions or releases required by the National Bar Association remain applicable.

No Guarantee of Availability or Results

The National Bar Association does not guarantee that any particular event, training, volunteer opportunity, resource, or program will remain available; that any person will be eligible or accepted to participate; or that participation will produce any particular result.

Dates, locations, deadlines, program requirements, volunteer needs, and other information may change.
